Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant cum Office Administrator to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate will be based in India and will work Canadian Eastern Time hours (10 AM to 5 PM). You will be responsible for supporting both our office administration and bookkeeping functions, along with handling calls and performing miscellaneous tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Office Administration:

Manage and maintain office documents and records.

Handle day-to-day administrative tasks such as organizing files, scheduling meetings, and managing office supplies.

Assist with correspondence, email management, and other clerical duties.

Coordinate with teams to ensure smooth operations and efficient workflows.

Bookkeeping Activities:

Perform basic bookkeeping tasks such as maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and processing invoices.

Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.

Manage expense tracking and reporting.

Support the accounting team with data entry and maintaining accurate financial records.

Call Handling:

Handle incoming and outgoing calls professionally.

Respond to customer inquiries and direct calls to the appropriate department.

Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive and helpful attitude.

Miscellaneous Tasks:

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Assist with special projects and tasks as required.

Collaborate with team members to support overall business operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping, office administration, or a related role.

Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Familiarity with Canadian accounting practices is a plus but not required.

This is a remote position, and the candidate must be available to work from 10 AM to 5 PM Eastern Time (Canada).
