Job Title: Accounting Assistant cum Office Administrator (Remote - Work from Home)

Location: India (Work from Home, Canadian Eastern Time Zone: 10 AM - 5 PM)

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant cum Office Administrator to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate will be based in India and will work Canadian Eastern Time hours (10 AM to 5 PM). You will be responsible for supporting both our office administration and bookkeeping functions, along with handling calls and performing miscellaneous tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Office Administration:

    • Manage and maintain office documents and records.

    • Handle day-to-day administrative tasks such as organizing files, scheduling meetings, and managing office supplies.

    • Assist with correspondence, email management, and other clerical duties.

    • Coordinate with teams to ensure smooth operations and efficient workflows.

  2. Bookkeeping Activities:

    • Perform basic bookkeeping tasks such as maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and processing invoices.

    • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.

    • Manage expense tracking and reporting.

    • Support the accounting team with data entry and maintaining accurate financial records.

  3. Call Handling:

    • Handle incoming and outgoing calls professionally.

    • Respond to customer inquiries and direct calls to the appropriate department.

    • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive and helpful attitude.

  4. Miscellaneous Tasks:

    • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

    • Assist with special projects and tasks as required.

    • Collaborate with team members to support overall business operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

  • 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping, office administration, or a related role.

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

  • Familiarity with Canadian accounting practices is a plus but not required.

Working Hours:

  • This is a remote position, and the candidate must be available to work from 10 AM to 5 PM Eastern Time (Canada).
